Audible, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADBL), the leading provider of Internet-delivered spoken audio (www.audible.com(TM)) for PC-based listening or mobile playback on AudibleReady(R) portable digital audio players, announced today that the new dramatic series 2000x is available for download from audible.com.

2000x is available to public radio stations nationwide through National Public Radio(R) (NPR(R)).

The spectacular ($400,000) special was produced in digital stereo by the Hollywood Theater of the Ear as part of NPR's celebration of the new millennium. Award-winning writer and commentator Harlan Ellison is host and literary advisor. The 44 plays that comprise the series are adapted from stories by such stellar sci-fi authors as H.G. Wells, Ray Bradbury, Jules Verne and Ursula K. Le Guin, as well as such mainstream authors as Mark Twain, Jack London, Rudyard Kipling, and George Bernard Shaw.

Players include nearly 100 of the finest West Coast actors, including stars such as Richard Dreyfuss and Robin Williams.

2000x joins other radio programs available at audible.com such as NPR's Fresh Air(R) with Terry Gross, Car Talk(R), and Morning Edition(R). 2000x may be downloaded and played back on AudibleReady digital audio players or streamed directly to the PC.
