Massachusetts College of Art offers a pre-college program called August Studios, for juniors and seniors. Sophomores are admitted following an interview. The program runs from July 24-August 18. Students attend classes five days per week, from 8:30 am-4:30 pm. All participants take 2D/3D Fundamentals, Issues and Images, and choose two elective classes that include oil painting, photography, mixed media, video, ceramics, printmaking, film, computers, jewelry and metals, artists' books, and fashion design. Massachusetts College of Art's Creative Vacation program, which operates from July 5-July 18, welcomes students in grades 4-10. The program is five days per week, from 8:30-12:00 noon.
