 Software Co. and Data One, 20-20 Technologies Inc. announced its intention to acquire Virtual Systems International Inc. of Raleigh, NC.

The transaction is subject to certain conditions, including satisfactory due diligence on the part of 20-20 and is expected to close by mid-January. VSI specializes in the development and sale of manufacturing software for the woodworking industry.

20-20 completed its acquisition of MBI, a manufacturer of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) An integrated information system that serves all departments within an enterprise. Evolving out of the manufacturing industry, ERP implies the use of packaged software rather than proprietary software written by or for one customer.  software, in December and purchased Data One Inc., a creator of software for contract furniture dealers, manufacturers and facility managers.
