"Our organization is very proud of what these awards stand for, and the way they have evolved over the past 20 years. In that time, we have recognized many exciting examples of what businesses and businesspeople can accomplish in Saskatchewan," said Clay Dowling, president of the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce. The ABEX Awards were first held in 1984 to provide a forum for acknowledging Saskatchewan's innovative and successful businesses. "Many people believe that Saskatchewan does not have any dynamic, pioneering business leaders. But every year, the ABEX Awards show off more and more examples of Saskatchewan achievers," said Dowling. "Saskatchewan business takes place in a challenging environment, to be sure, but our entrepreneurs continue to find ways to meet those challenges." Saskatchewan private enterprises can enter the ABEX Awards in any of 10 distinct, performance-based categories of excellence. The entrant en·trant n. "It is always a pleasure to acknowledge the success of our entrepreneurs, and it is a pleasure to celebrate the possibilities this province is home to," said Dowling.
