20 AREA GIRLS COMPETE IN TODAY'S SO. SECTION INDIVIDUAL GOLF FINAL.

Normally on the fringe On The Fringe is a popular Pakistani television show on Indus Music. It is hosted and scripted by the eccentric television host and music critic, Fasi Zaka and directed by Zeeshan Pervez.  - but only because it has been a high school sport for just three years - girls' golf gets the spotlight with today's Southern Section Individual Championship and Women's Southern California Southern California, also colloquially known as SoCal, is the southern portion of the U.S. state of California. Centered on the cities of Los Angeles and San Diego, Southern California is home to nearly 24 million people and is the nation's second most populated region,  Golf Association Qualifying Tournament today at Mission Lakes Country Club in Desert Hot Springs.

The sport has grown, with several rivalries dotting the area, including Harvard-Westlake's Emma Stachowicz and Notre Dame's Mayumi Kobayashi and Nikki Imaromma in the Mission League. Also, Burbank's Moah Chang dueled Sara Jones of Hart in the Foothill League.

But today, rivalries mean little. At stake is not only the section individual championship but 50 berths in the WSCGA WSCGA Wisconsin State Cranberry Growers Association  tournament Nov. 28 at SCGA SCGA Southern California Golf Association

Twenty area golfers will join 102 others from 22 leagues in a shotgun start at 8 a.m.
