Bethesda, uninc. city (1990 pop. 62,936), Montgomery co., W central Md., an affluent residential and commercial suburb of Washington, D.C. The area was settled in the late 17th cent.
, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 26, 1996--20/20 Laser Centers announced Monday higher revenue figures than projected for the second quarter of this year.

The company set a high growth plan when the first of its nine locations opened last January, but the actual figures have exceeded projections.

"We have seen our revenues for the second quarter more than double, with a 125 percent increase in revenues and a similar increase in the number of patients treated," said Gary F. Jonas, the company's president and chief executive officer.

The company reports revenues of $3 million for the first six months of 1996, with $918,000 reported in the first quarter and $2.1 million in the second quarter. The two locations that opened in January -- Rockville, Maryland Rockville is the county seat of Montgomery County, Maryland, United States. According to the 2006 census update, the city had a total population of 59,114, making it the second largest city in Maryland.  and Manhattan -- report a 112 percent increase in the number of procedures done in the second three months of this year.

The sites operated by the company are treating large numbers of patients, with some sites doing over 100 procedures per month.

The results for patients are equally impressive. Early analysis of the data for patients treated at 20/20 managed sites suggests results that meet or exceed those reported in two-year clinical trials conducted for the laser companies prior to FDA FDA
