A 2-year-old San Jose boy drowned after he fell into his grandparents' swimming pool Saturday evening, fire officials said.

``Nothing was working to revive the boy,'' Collis said.

The child was transported from the residence on the 10500 block of Haskell Avenue to Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills. He was pronounced dead at the Holy Cross, hospital officials said.

The boy's parents were in San Jose at the time of the incident and were en route to Los Angeles on Saturday night.
