2-DAY FESTIVAL TO GET STARTED WITH PARADE IN LITTLEROCK.Byline: Daily News A parade with marching bands Noun 1. marching band - a band that marches (as in a parade) and plays music at the same time band - instrumentalists not including string players , classic cars, pageant pageant, modern dramatic spectacle or procession celebrating a special occasion or an event in the history of a locality. In medieval times the word pageant had meant the wagon or the movable stage on which one scene of a mystery or miracle play was performed. queens, youth groups and fire engines will kick off Littlerock's second annual Fall Festival on Saturday. Themed ``Neighbors Helping Neighbors,'' the festival will run from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Almondale Middle School and adjoining Martin Park on Avenue U near 96th Street East. ``Basically, what we really want is for families to come out and have a good time,'' said Sam Page, a Littlerock Town Council member and festival organizer. The parade with more than 50 entries will start at 10 a.m. on 87th Street East north of Pearblossom Highway, turn east on Avenue U and end at the festival site. Also scheduled Saturday is a pancake pancake, thin, flat cake, made of batter and baked on a griddle or fried in a pan.
