2 SHOT, 1 KILLED IN CONFRONTATION.

ROSAMOND - One woman is dead, a second is hospitalized and a third is in jail following a shooting at a mobile home in a sparsely populated pop·u·late

The river has Isabella Dam as its chief facility.  County sheriff's deputies said Monday.

One of the shooting victims had been forced to move out of the home and had returned Sunday with friends to pick up some belongings, deputies said.

Neither victim's name was immediately released. Kern County coroner's officials said they had not been able to locate the dead woman's family.

Deputies said an altercation broke out after the former resident returned to the home to pick up her belongings. Deputies said Jones armed herself with a .22 rifle and fired several shots inside the mobile home, then more outside.

. Both were flown by helicopter to Kern County Medical Center in Bakersfield from the home off Backus Road near Mojave-Tropico Road.

The woman shot in the chest survived, but the woman hit in the leg died at the hospital, deputies said.
