Beginning at 8 tonight, ``The Philadelphia Story'' will be performed at the Lancaster Performing Arts Center A performing arts center, often abbreviated PAC, is a multi-use performance space that can be adapted for use by various types of the performing arts, including dance, music and theatre. , while the Palmdale Playhouse will be presenting ``The Lion, The Lion, The, English name for Leo, a constellation.  Witch and The Wardrobe.''

``The Philadelphia Story,'' produced by Antelope Valley College Antelope Valley College is a comprehensive community college located in Lancaster, California, USA. It is operated by the Antelope Valley Community College District, with a primary service area of 1,945 square miles covering portions of Los Angeles and Kern counties. , is a romantic comedy that follows wealthy debutante Tracy Lord as she gets her comeuppance come·up·pance

 on her wedding day. The entire Lord family learns a lesson about the simple joys in life from the everyday people around them.

``The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe'' tells the tale of four siblings as they become trapped in another world reached through the doors of a wardrobe. With a little bit of help, the four children triumph over evil and learn to believe in themselves.

`` `The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe' has been a nice little bit of magic in my summer,'' said Director Beverly Whatley, an instructor with the Antelope Valley Union High School District The Antelope Valley Union High School District (A.V.U.H.S.D.) is located in the Antelope Valley area of California, in northern Los Angeles County.

The district includes eight public high schools, one trade school, and two continuation high schools in the cities of Palmdale
. ``It's a good bit of family fare that allows the child in all of us to take a look at the other side of our favorite fairy tales This is a list of fairy tales, the dates of their earliest known printed version, the author and, if known, the collection of tales in which it was published. It should be noted, however, that not all stories listed below would be categorized as fairy tales by a strict definition .''

Also at 8 tonight, Eddie Money will perform at Marie Kerr Park, 39700 30th St. W., Palmdale, as part of the city's free Starlight Concert Series. Classic cars will go on display at 7 p.m. Families should bring chairs or blankets for lawn seating. Call (661) 267-5611.

Tickets for ``The Philadelphia Story'' are $10-18. Show times are 8 p.m. tonight and Saturday and at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Lancaster Performing Arts Center, 750 W. Lancaster Blvd. For tickets, call (661) 723-5950.

Tickets for ``The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe'' are $5 for adults and $3 for seniors, children and members of the military. Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. tonight and Saturday and at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Palmdale Playhouse, 38334 10th St. E. For tickets, call (661) 267-5685.
