District Special Education Supervisor Jamie Timmins and English teacher Martha Spansel will assume the posts July 1 that currently are held by John Costanza and Kathy Crandall.

The personnel shift comes as the William S. Hart Union High School District prepares to open three new schools this fall. Costanza was reassigned to the new West Ranch High School West Ranch High School is a public high school in the community of Stevenson Ranch, Los Angeles County, California. Mr. Bob Vincent has been the school's principal ever since it opened in 2004.  in Stevenson Ranch Stevenson Ranch, California (in the 91381 ZIP Code) is a Los Angeles County, USA, unincorporated community west of Santa Clarita a few miles south of Six Flags Magic Mountain amusement park. The Stevenson Ranch fountain was redone in 2007. . Crandall was transferred to Golden Valley High School, which is more than two-thirds complete after two years of construction.

``I'm thrilled to join the Saugus staff,'' Timmins said. ``Saugus High School has been a part of my family for many years. I have always admired the staff and have enjoyed working with them.''

Timmins came to the Hart district in 1994 as a special-education teacher at La Mesa La Mesa (lə mā`sə), city (1990 pop. 52,931), San Diego co., S Calif., a suburb of San Diego; inc. 1912. It is a retail center and a popular residence for upper- and middle-income professionals in the San Diego area.  Junior High, after serving as a substitute teacher since 1985. She also served as a Special Day Class teacher at a Valencia High program operated by the Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  County Office of Education.

She was promoted to special-education supervisor in 2000, and is currently administrator of Redview Preparatory and Transitional Learning Center.

Spansel joined the Hart district in 1997 as an English teacher at La Mesa Junior High, where she also served as English Department chairwoman for two years. She transferred to Bowman High School in 2003 to teach English at the continuation campus.

``It kind of feels like coming home,'' she said, referring to her stint as Saugus High's girls junior varsity soccer coach between 1998 and 2000. ``I am looking forward to moving into a comprehensive high school setting and working with the great staff that is already there.''
