2 MEN ARRESTED IN CAR THEFT CASE.

Two men were arrested on suspicion of auto theft Saturday after police spotted them in a car traveling south on the Ventura Freeway The Ventura Freeway is a freeway in southern California running from Ventura to Pasadena. It is the principal east-west route through Ventura County and in the southern San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles County.  near Moorpark Road, officials said.

Authorities said the car matched the description of a white 1979 Chevy Monte Carlo Monte Carlo (môNtā` kärlō`), town (1982 pop. 13,150), principality of Monaco, on the Mediterranean Sea and the French Riviera.  that a Camarillo businessman, Gabriel Robles Robles is a common surname in the Spanish language meaning oaks, and may refer to:
  • Alfonso García Robles (1911-1991), Mexican diplomat and politician
  • Aurora Robles (born 1980), Mexican fashion model
  • Charlie Robles (born 1943), Puerto Rican musician
, reported stolen from a driveway behind his shop.

Avocados, citrus, vegetables, strawberries, and nursery products are grown.  police said they spotted the car just minutes after Camarillo police got the report that it had been stolen.

Police said the suspects, aware that they were being followed, abandoned the car south of Moorpark Road and ran into a hilly hill·y

They ran down an embankment and under the freeway and were arrested by sheriff's deputies pursuing them on foot, authorities said.

The suspects were identified as Carlos Jimenez of Van Nuys and Virginio Gallegos of Panorama City.
