2 INJURED PUTTING OUT BLAZE.

Two Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  firefighters suffered minor injuries while battling an early morning apartment fire Thursday, officials said.

The firefighters, who were not immediately identified, were taken to Sherman Oaks Hospital Sherman Oaks Hopital (SOH) is an 153 bed acute care facility in Sherman Oaks, California, USA and is home of world renowned the Grossman Burn Center. The two were among 85 firefighters who responded to a 5:23 a.m. blaze in the loft area of a third-floor apartment in the 15500 block of West Moorpark Street, Wells said.

Residents of at least 20 apartments were evacuated as firefighters battled the blaze, which was extinguished within 35 minutes with only one unit damaged, Wells said.

The cause of the fire was under investigation Thursday.
