Two more motorists from Palmdale completed the chain reaction. Capasso suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital. About 20 minutes after the lanes had reopened and speeds began to pick up, three more crashes occurred in the same area, officials said. One driver, Marie Rodriguez, 52, of Lancaster, was transported to Newhall Memorial with possible internal injuries. |
