2 HAWKS SHOT, MAN CHARGED ONE BIRD SURVIVED, NURSED TO HEALTH.

NORTH HILLS - A 75-year-old North Hills man faces a $5,000 fine for shooting hawks with a shotgun because he feared they would harm the racing pigeons he kept in his back yard, the U.S. Attorney's Office said Friday.
