2 ARRESTED IN VALLEY FIND POSSIBLE METH LAB UNCOVERED.

VAN NUYS - Police arrested two people Thursday when detectives uncovered what is believed to be a methamphetamine methamphetamine (mĕth'ămfĕt`əmēn): see amphetamine; methedrine.  lab during a routine stolen property investigation.

Acting on a tip, detectives went to the home of a woman on probation in the 6600 block of Fulton Avenue about 7 a.m., investigating a stolen property case. They found what investigators believe to be the equipment and chemicals to make methamphetamine.

Along with seizing the suspected meth-making equipment and chemicals, police also confiscated con·fis·cate

Antonia Newman, 29, of Van Nuys was booked on suspicion of violating her probation on a prior theft conviction. She was being held Thursday at the Van Nuys jail on a no-bail warrant. She was expected to be arraigned today.

Her boyfriend, Mark Walters Mark Everton Walters (born June 2, 1964) is a former professional footballer from Birmingham, England. He was an attacking goal scoring winger. Club career

, 30, also of Van Nuys was booked on suspicion of possession of a small amount of methamphetamines. He was being held at Parker Center Parker Center is the headquarters for the Los Angeles Police Department, and is located in Downtown LA. It is named for former LAPD chief William H. Parker. Originally with the prosaic name, the Police Administration Building, ground for the center was broken on December 30, 1952  jail in lieu of $10,000 bond. He was expected to be arraigned Monday.

Police are investigating who the computer equipment belongs to, and also whether the equipment they found was a meth-making operation, Escontrias said.
