Detective Bob Brophy of the LAPD's Foothill Division said that after the robbers left, the man broke loose from the cords and got a description of their car. He called 911, alerting officers in the area, who found the car matching the description within 10 minutes, said Detective Sue Allison of the LAPD's Valley Bureau. ``It was excellent work,'' Brophy said about actions of the robbery victim. ``It was excellent police work, too.'' Paul Huette, 20, of Sylmar and Hugo Alvarado, 26, of Panorama City were arrested on suspicion of committing a home-invasion robbery, police said. Two other suspects got away, Brophy said. At about 1 a.m. Wednesday, two women knocked on the victim's door in the 13200 block of Filmore Street, Brophy said. The resident, in his 30s, came to the door, and the women said their car ran out of gas and asked him for help. The man stepped out of his home and saw two men.
