We had to change our tactics.'' Officials said the burglars first entered Jack Northrop Elementary School at 831 East Avenue K-12 late Wednesday or early Thursday and stole five televisions, five VCRs, two computers and other items. After loading the stolen equipment into the truck, the burglars drove two miles to Linda Verde Elementary School, parked the truck behind the school grounds and entered an office building and several classrooms, officials said. Once the security guard spotted the intruders about 4 a.m. Thursday, he radioed for backup. As another guard arrived, the officers approached the men, who fled over a fence. Inside the truck, deputies found one suspect's driver's license, prescription medicine and $10,000 to $15,000 in stolen merchandise, which was later returned to the schools. A taxi in which the burglars were believed to be riding drove by the truck several times, but didn't stop because the truck was being watched by a guard, officials said. ``I'm just thrilled thrill v. thrilled, thrill·ing, thrills v.tr. 1.
