2,500 PLAN TO `DO LUNCH' FOR A CAUSE.

An estimated 2,500 employees from 100 businesses in Warner Center will put on their walking shoes at lunch today to raise funds for the March of Dimes.

The 14th annual March of Dimes Warner Walk is expected to help raise more than $100,000.

The 1.8-mile walk will begin at 11:45 a.m. at three points and finish at Warner Park. At the end of the walk, a complimentary lunch will be provided.

Registration will be taken until 11:30 a.m. at the starting points:

Blue Cross of California, 21555 Oxnard St.

The Trillium, 6320 Canoga Ave.

Howard's Deli, 20980 Warner Center Lane.

Walk spokeswoman Shelley Hutsler said money for the March of Dimes Birth Defects Foundation will be generated from corporate sponsors and from pledges collected by the walkers.

The Warner Walk executive committee includes representatives from the AMC Theaters; CareAmerica; Drake, Beam, Morin Inc.; Glendale Federal Bank; Health Net; Kaiser Permanente; P.L. Porter; Realty BanCorp/Trillium; the State Compensation Insurance Fund; the Daily News; The Promenade; the Warner Group; Warner Center Associates; Warner Center Hilton Hotel & Towers; Warner Center Marriott; Warner Center Properties; Weyerhaeuser Mortgage Company and the Woodland Hills Chamber of Commerce.
