The 80 cyclists, who departed New York City on Monday, Sept. 25, will arrive at Williams Tower in Houston at approximately 11 a.m. today. Along the way, the team roughly followed the path of Williams' Transco natural gas pipeline and telecommunications network, traveling through New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina North Carolina, state in the SE United States. "For eight days these riders have physically challenged themselves to make a difference. Their hard work and determination will ultimately touch the lives of tens of thousands of people in communities all over the country."

The 80 cyclists averaged from 60 to 70 miles per day, covering the 2,000-mile distance relay-style. To participate, each cyclist was required to raise at least $2,500 in pledges for United Way. Williams matched each contribution dollar-for-dollar.
