1st Silicon Names Vice President of Sales.


KUCHING, SARAWAK, Malaysia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 22, 1999--

Claudio G. Loddo, President and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of 1st Silicon (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. today announced the appointment of Andrew V. Brown as the company's Vice President of Sales.

Brown reports to CEO Claudio G. Loddo. He will be based in the USA, and responsible for developing new accounts and strategic relationships with customers worldwide.

Brown, a veteran in semiconductor foundry, brings over 16 years of experience in semiconductor sales and operations to 1st Silicon. He was most recently Director of Foundry Development with Sharp Microelectronics of the Americas, based in San Jose, California San Jose (IPA: /ˌsænhoʊˈzeɪ/) is the third-largest city in California, and the tenth-largest in the United States. It is the county seat of Santa Clara County. . Earlier affiliations include executive sales and operational positions with Newport Wafer Fab, ST Assembly Test Services, Chartered Semiconductor and Advanced Micro Devices.

1st Silicon is a dedicated semiconductor foundry founded in 1998 by the Malaysian State of Sarawak. 1st Silicon's 200mm wafer fab with an ultimate capacity of 30K wafers per month will be operational in Q3 2000.
