1st Mariner Bank Selects Fiserv Custom Outsourcing Solution.

Fiserv, Inc. (Nasdaq: FISV) announced today that it will provide its Custom Outsourcing Solution to $650 million asset 1st Mariner Bank, of Baltimore, Maryland, as part of a five-year agreement for outsourcing all of the bank's data processing needs.

In addition to providing a complete suite of core banking solutions, Fiserv will provide the following customer relationship management (CRM) and retail delivery capabilities to 1st Mariner:

      -   A branch and teller automation system designed to boost sales.
        The system also will enable 1st Mariner to track sales and
        customer traffic in order to provide maximum service.

      -   Fiserv CSCS, a call center system that will allow 1st Mariner
        to provide superior service and sell additional products. The
        call center also provides customer profiles, agent
        instructions and prompts, and activity assignments across
        departments and branches to guide service requests and sales
        opportunities.

      -   Fiserv InformEnt, a data warehouse that will be used to
        collect, analyze and transfer data from all delivery channels
        - Internet, telephone, ATM, branch - into marketing and
        profitability models to enhance sales and customer service.

      -   A telephone banking system to provide 1st Mariner retail and
        commercial customers the ability to check balances, transfer
        funds and pay bills via their touch-tone telephones.

      -   Internet banking services that will provide a gateway for
        retail and commercial customers to bank from their homes or
        workplaces 24 hours a day, seven days a week in a completely
        safe and secure environment.

Other Fiserv products purchased by 1st Mariner include a suite of profitability software from IPS-Sendero, the WebLink Internet-based cash management solution from Banklink and the Nautilus information management system from ImageSoft.
