1st Annual Organ Summit Highlights 3rd Anniversary.


The Hammond Organ Center of Woodlyn, Pennsylvania Woodlyn is a census-designated place (CDP) in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 10,036 at the 2000 census. It is a part of Ridley Township, Pennsylvania and children residing within the community generally attend schools in the Ridley School District. , sponsored its first annual Hammond Organ Summit on June 11 and 12. The two-day festival was held in celebration of the company's third anniversary and recent expansion.

Participants had the opportunity to attend clinics, workshops, and concerts and were able to meet some of today's Hammond authorities and recording artists. Topics covered in the clinics were: Organ Set-Up and Registration, Styling, Drawbars, Chord Changes and Runs, Playing Tips, and Gospel Organ.

One of the highlights of the day was a listening contest between a vintage Hammond B3 organ and the new Hammond Digital Clone, the XK-2 keyboard, which were both played from behind a curtain. Nobody got a perfect score in the contest.

Friday was dedicated to the Home Theater An audio/video entertainment center that has a large-screen TV and hi-fi system with three speakers in the front (left, right and center) and left and right speakers in the rear. Starting in the early 1990s, video inputs were added to stereo receivers and preamplifiers.  Organist. Clinician/organists for the day were Bill Horn, Hammond Suzuki clinician, and Steven Eaklor, director of product design for Hammond Suzuki U.S.A. Clinics were held throughout the day, with a concert that evening. Saturday was dedicated to Gospel and Jazz Organ. Featured clinician/organists included Aaron Rodgers Aaron Charles Rodgers (born December 2, 1983 in Chico, California, U.S.) is an American football quarterback. She had been an admirer of Jimmy Smith and over time would play piano and trumpet before moving to the Hammond organ.
, who was this year's Artist of Honor. The weekend and concert were dedicated to Scott's tremendous contribution to Hammond Jazz Organ. She received a plaque and a Hammond Organ for her home. The concert was a very rare opportunity to see and hear four of the greatest jazz organists This is a list of jazz organists.
