1st Annual Medtronic Walk-N-Roll with Courage Set for Sept. 11; Fundraising Event Held at Minnesota Landscape Arboretum Benefits Courage Center.


MINNEAPOLIS -- The first annual Medtronic Walk-N-Roll with Courage - a fundraising event for Courage Center - will be held Saturday, Sept. 11 from 9:00 a.m. to noon at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum Coordinates:

The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum is a 1047-acre horticultural garden and arboretum located about 4 miles west of Chanhassen, Minnesota at 3675 Arboretum Drive, Chaska, Minnesota.

The Medtronic Walk-N-Roll, which is also sponsored by the Minnesota Twins The Minnesota Twins are a professional baseball team based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Twins are a member of the Central Division of Major League Baseball's American League. From to the present, the Twins have played in the Hubert H.  and Hubbard Broadcasting, includes three course options - a 1K, 3K and 5K - to choose from through some of the Arboretum's most beautiful scenery. There will also be family entertainment, activities and a picnic lunch.

"The purpose of the Medtronic Walk-N-Roll is to raise your heart rate a little while you raise money for Courage Center," said Diane Balagna, volunteer chair. "One out of every 10 people in our community has a serious disability, and each year Courage Center serves over 16,000 people with disabilities from throughout Minnesota."

Walkers and wheelers will not be charged a fee to participate, but are required to gather pledges. Participants who raise $125 or more in pledges will receive two tickets for the Sept. 18 Minnesota Twins game versus the Baltimore Orioles This article is about the contemporary American major league baseball team. . The noon game will also feature a pre-game celebration and recognition of Walk-N-Roll walkers and wheelers. Civic, church and youth teams are encouraged to participate.

In addition to the Twins tickets, participants raising amounts from $250 up through $2,500 or more will be eligible for prizes that include Target and Best Buy gift certificates, Twins memorabilia mem·o·ra·bil·i·a
