1eEurope Ltd, the first pan-European business-to-business total e-commerce services provider, today announced that it has named Philippe Giry-Deloison as its Chief Operating Officer. As the company continues its rapid expansion, Giry-Deloison will manage the seamless integration of 1eEurope's operating companies across Europe, while Rick Kozak, Chairman and CEO, focuses on further acquisitions in the quest to build a billion Euro-valued company.

With more than 15 years of experience in management consulting in the United States, Japan and Europe, Giry-Deloison joins 1eEurope from Andersen Consulting, where he was responsible for counselling international corporations on their growth strategies and organization. His tenure at 1eEurope coincides with explosive growth in the European e-Commerce market, which is expected to rise from less than $10 billion in 1999 to a projected $175 billion in 2002 - generated by market demand for premier business-to-business solutions, and new advances in WAP-enabled mobile phones, interactive digital television and satellite communications.

Before joining Andersen Consulting, Giry-Deloison was a Partner of McKinsey & Co. His most recent experiences include directing key post-merger integrations in Europe and North America by defining their strategy, restructuring operating and functional units, and reconfiguring the information technology systems. He has also directed the impact analyses of the internet on European "bricks and mortar" companies. In addition to his client work, Philippe Giry-Deloison has led internal research efforts on the impact of globalisation, retail growth strategies, and international corporate governance.

Prior to joining McKinsey & Co in 1985, Giry-Deloison was Vice President of Corporate Finance at Banque Worms in Paris and in New York. He has written numerous articles on strategic and organisational issues and frequently spoken at industry forums. He holds a master in economics from the University of Paris and an MBA from INSEAD.
