19th USBL Season a Great Success.

MILFORD, Conn. -- The United States Basketball League, Inc. (USBL) has just completed its 19th season of play with the Pennsylvania ValleyDawgs defeating their divisional rival Brooklyn Kings 118-116 to capture their second USBL Title in four years. ValleyDawgs Head Coach Darryl Dawkins was one of five former NBA superstars that patrolled the coaching sidelines this season in the USBL.

As a summer professional basketball league, the USBL has shown its value to the basketball community around the world. Since the League's inception in 1985, 147 players have "graduated" to the NBA. Among the alumni are Tyrone "Muggsy" Bogues. Anthony Mason, Avery Johnson, Manute Bol, Darrell Armstrong, Charlie Ward, and Michael Curry.

The USBL also reached a new milestone attendance. During the 12th Annual Post-Season Festival, the USBL reached the 2 million mark in all-time attendance. The 12th Annual Post-Season Festival was characterized by the outstanding play of each of the eight teams that qualified. Players were able to showcase themselves, as the Post-Season Festival games are scheduled to be televised on a tape delay basis on NBA TV, a first for the USBL. 35 USBL players have already received invitations to participate in NBA Summer League camps, with many more surely to come.
