The AEA survey covers operating factors for 10 industry segments that are critical to company management. For the 1995 survey, 245 companies participated.

For all but three of the industry segments, direct sales to end-users accounted for most of the sales growth, with Test and Measurement/Photonics companies at the high end with 71 percent.
