Modern man has decided that clean air is one of his natural rights. Reflecting this sentiment, the wheels of government are moving--haltingly perhaps, but irreversibly--to put a halt to the pollution of our atmosphere.

For the forest product manufacturer, this presents a simple although somewhat burdensome choice--clean up or else!

The wood products industry is far from being the nation's largest polluter. It is estimated that the industry contributes less than 1% of the 360,000 tons of pollution that enters the air every day. But tell that to your irate i·rate
