The trouble is there are too many songs - 13 in all - and they're all very samey. At least four tracks have the same Eastern vibe as Kiss Kiss which, by the end of the album, becomes tiresome. The paroxysmal gasp characteristic of whooping cough. - The verse, especially the Whoop bit, is infectious. 8/10 Hush Now - Electronic beeps don't hide a pop-by-numbers song. 5/10 All In The Mind - Yet more Bangra beats from the one-trick pony. 6/10 Harder They Come - Joyous, infectious slice of pop spoiled by the Pop Idol-theme ending. 8/10 Help Me Help You - Ballad for the under-10 market. 6/10 Naughty Girl - Mid tempo pop track sounds like Emma Bunton. 6/10 Connect - One of the better tunes. 7/10 Send My Best - Alanis Morrisette-type track that should never have made it beyond the demo stage. 4/10 |
