19 Software Products Certified eBusinessReady for AS2 EDI/XML Interoperability; Interoperability Certified Software Facilitates Implementation and Saves Costs.

eBusinessReady(TM), an industry-neutral software compliance and interoperability testing program under joint partnership of the Uniform Code Council, Inc. (UCC) and Drummond Group, Inc. (DGI), announced today that 19 software products completed the program's interoperability testing for AS2 EDI/XML messaging over the Internet and achieved eBusinessReady certification.

Companies demonstrating interoperability among their products included Alligacom Inc., AS/400 TrailBlazer Systems, Inc., Boomi Inc., bTrade, inc., Cleo Communications, Covast, Cyclone Commerce, EDS, Global eXchange Services, Inc., Illicom, IPNet Solutions, Inc., iSoft Corporation, LANSA, Sterling Commerce, TIBCO Software Inc., and webMethods, Inc.

An eBusinessReady certified product enables vertical and horizontal interoperability across the supply chain and distribution channels. The companies underwent testing to demonstrate that their AS2 EDI/XML messaging software products complied with a common level of interoperability, enabling them to effectively communicate with other eBusiness solutions, eliminating costly communication obstacles and facilitating efficient trading partner relationships.

AS2 (Applicability Statement 2) is the draft specification standard by which applications communicate EDI or XML data over the Internet. When implemented, AS2 enables users to connect, deliver and reply to data securely and reliably, saving money, and adding flexibility and control on how the data is utilized or reported. eBusinessReady tests require each product to exchange AS2 messages with all other products in the respective test round and verify the validity of each message received from the other participants.
