There were more than 70,000 hits on the day before and the day after the event, when previews and highlights were available. The United States is the world's third largest country in population and the fourth largest country in area. , but there was a large international audience as well, including viewers from Canada, Japan, Germany, Africa, Australia and elsewhere. The awards show was accessible from the websites of USA Video Interactive, L.A.Music Awards, and House of Blues House of Blues (HOB) is a chain of music halls and restaurants founded in 1992 by Hard Rock Cafe founder Isaac Tigrett and his friend and investor Dan Aykroyd. It is a home for live music and southern-inspired cuisine, whose clubs celebrate African-American culture, specifically  (www.hob.com), whose Hollywood club served as the venue for the live event.

USA Video Interactive had anticipated heavy viewership of the concert based on Internet activity and international interest in the days leading up to the event. As a result, additional servers were deployed, back-up redundant systems were in place, and technicians were on-site throughout the day to ensure smooth operation. In addition, established celebrity artists are recognized and honored for specific contributions and accomplishments in the music industry by receiving the Special Achievement Award, Paul Rothchild Award and the Lifetime Achievement Award. Live performances by nominees representing their specific categories and award presentations are intermixed throughout the show, including some of the nationally known artists involved. The award presenters are drawn from all entertainment fields including music, motion pictures, television and radio that contributes to the entire entertainment extravaganza.
