 Gabarra founded the Instituto de Estudios Sociales y Juridicos de la Mujer (Indeso-Mujer, Institute for Women's Social and Legal Studies) in Rosario Rosario (rôsär`yō), city (1991 pop. 1,095,906), Santa Fe prov., E central Argentina, a port on the Paraná River, on the eastern margin of the Pampa. , Argentina on June 1,1984. Although originally intended to be a law office specializing in the problems of women blue collar workers and domestic workers, in practice, the members of IndesoMujer have directed considerable efforts to the issue of domestic violence.  la Mujer (Service for the Prevention and Treatment of Violence Against Women) was launched, and a library specializing in regional issues of importance to women also was established. Indeso-Mujer also supported the creation of women's groups in different neighborhoods with an emphasis on the topic of violence and psychological care and counseling for women victims of violence. In addition, since 20.00 the institute has published the monthly periodical periodical, a publication that is issued regularly. It is distinguished from the newspaper in format in that its pages are smaller and are usually bound, and it is published at weekly, monthly, quarterly, or other intervals, rather than daily.  Otras Voces (Other Voices).
