18 Percent Increase in Net Earnings for Roctest.

MONTREAL--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 31, 1998--(ME:RTT.) Roctest Limited (the "Company"), announced consolidated sales for the fiscal year ending December 31, 1997 were $17,264,000 compared to $14,544,000 for the previous fiscal year, an increase of 18.7 percent for the same period, the net earning increased by 18 percent, from $1,102,000 to $1,300,000.

The net earnings per share were $0.31 in 1997 compared to $0.27 per share in 1996. The average number of shares outstanding went from 4,037,122 in 1996 to 4,200,444 in 1997.

For 1997, our two acquisitions in France and in Ontario enabled us to consolidate our position in Europe and strengthen our development in the environmental sector. These acquisitions will accelerate the company growth in 1998.
