17th annual Master Division Championship; McDonald Fires 65 for Lead.

, Calif.--(BW SportsWire)--Sept. 17, 1998--Pat McDonald fired a brilliant 6-under-par 65 Thursday Thursday: see week.  to take a big step toward his third victory in the Northern California Northern California, sometimes referred to as NorCal, is the northern portion of the U.S. state of California. McDonald, who won the title in 1991 and 1994, carded four birdies and an unconventional eagle en route to the first-round lead in the 17th annual event for players ages 40-54.
