1700 Harlem families to receive free passes to Studio Museum in Harlem. (Residential).


Each of the 1,700 families residing in Harlem's famed Lenox Terrace development will receive memberships to The. Studio Museum in Harlem The Studio Museum in Harlem is an American fine arts museum in the Harlem neighborhood of New York City, New York.  and executive vice president of The Olnick Organization, recently visited the Museum with Lenox Terrace Tenants Association president Lamarr Sellars, vice president Joyce Glover-Harkless and building leaders Senora Edmonds and Veronica Glasgow. Dr. Lowery Stokes Sims Lowery Stokes Sims is currently adjunct curator for the permanent collection at The Studio Museum in Harlem and Visiting Professor at Queens College, Hunter College and Cornell University. , Executive Director of the Museum welcomed the group.

"Our company has long supported the arts, and we are thrilled to support the Studio Museum as one of Harlem's and New York's premiere cultural institutions. It was in consultation, with Thelma Golden, SMH deputy director for exhibitions and programs, that we decided to have The Olnick Organization become a corporate member, and to extend the membership benefits to our residents. We hope that Lenox Terrace residents will take advantage of this wonderful institution in their community. It's a real win-win," said Rubler.

Lowery Stokes Sims, executive director of The Studio Museum in Harlem, noted that "the Studio Museum is proud to be located in Harlem and to serve the Harlem community. We've worked to reinforce that relationship through our programs such as Harlem Postcards, Harlem Views, Sunday Salon (featuring talent based in Harlem) and exhibitions of the James VanDerZee archive of photographs. We're thrilled that the Lenox Terrace family will be come part of the SMH family and we hope that this ground-breaking program will be repeated throughout the Harlem community."

"Individual membership cards will be mailed to each resident beginning in early April," said manager Tom Lazzari.

Since construction was completed on the first of Lenox Terrace's six buildings in 1958, the residential development has been home to a who's who Who’s Who
