Going back to school should be an exciting time of year for children, but every year thousands of less fortunate kids face ridicule by other students and are made to feel like they don't fit in -- because of their clothing. The Bottlers of Coca-Cola, The Salvation Army and CBL & Associates Properties, Inc., one of the largest owners and managers of shopping centers shopping center, a concentration of retail, service, and entertainment enterprises designed to serve the surrounding region. The modern shopping center differs from its antecedents—bazaars and marketplaces—in that the shops are usually amalgamated into  in the country, have formed a partnership to help disadvantaged kids go back to school in style. Through the "Clothes for Kids" campaign, these kids will feel like a star!

By participating in the "Clothes for Kids" program, you will help less fortunate children feel special when they go back to school this year."

The "Clothes for Kids" program, running from July 16 through 31, will collect new school shirts, pants, shoes and other clothing items for less fortunate children. The Salvation Army, one of the largest charitable and service organizations in the world, has selected children from their list of most needy families in each community to receive clothing donations. Those interested in participating can obtain a hanger tag from the "Clothes for Kids" display at any CBL mall (a complete list of CBL malls can be found at www.cblproperties.com). The hanger tag will contain the child's first name, age, size and clothing needs. Participants then shop at the mall's retailers for the items and return the donation to the display location. The Salvation Army will coordinate distribution of the clothing.

"We are so thankful that CBL and The Bottlers of Coca-Cola have joined together to help disadvantaged children through this program," said Major Glenn Fite of The Salvation Army. "It's sad when children, eager to learn, dread going back to school because they can't afford new clothes and fear that other children will make fun of them or not socialize so·cial·ize
