``It was a large-scale operation,'' sheriff's Sgt. Kyle Bistline said.

The man arrested on suspicion of battery spit on a probation officer who came to his home during Friday's operation, Bistline said.

The adults' names were not immediately released.

The five teens accused of violating probation were found with spray-paint cans or marking pens, were linked to fresh graffiti in their neighborhoods, or had done other things judges ordered them not to do, Bistline said.

One, for example, was found with alcohol in his bedroom and one had shaved his hair -- a common hairstyle among street-gang members -- despite the judge's order against it.
