Adams & Co. Real Estate recently brokered a 10-year, 16,500-square-foot lease at the Children's Wear Center at 34 W. 33rd St. for Bentex Group, Inc., a children's and infants apparel and accessories company that manufactures playwear, swimwear, sleepwear and outerwear.

In addition to its own brands, the company's licenses include Winnie the Pooh, Spiderman and Thomas & Friends.

Although terms of the lease were undisclosed, asking rents were $32 per square foot. David Levy and David Menaged of Adams & Co. represented both the tenant and landlord in the transaction. The company relocated from a smaller space at 100 W. 33rd St. Bentex joins an already impressive roster of children's wear companies at 34 West 33rd Street including: Fishman and Tobin, Carton Bros, Baby Fair, My Boy Sam and dozens of others.

"The Fashion District specialty buildings each are known for their particular niche and the Children's Wear Center is one of the most successful," Levy said.
