150th anniversary of the publishing of Charles Darwin's On the Origin of Species on November 22, 2009.

Humanists around the world will celebrate the 150th anniversary of the publishing of Charles Darwin's On the Origin of Species on November 22, 2009, with various workshops and events. On November 3, 10, and 17, PBS's NOVA premieres "Becoming Human," a three-part special on human evolution that combines interviews with world-renowned anthropologists and paleoanthropologists and the most recent, groundbreaking discoveries about our earliest ancestors to present a comprehensive picture of our human past.

Karen Ann Gajewski is a contributing editor to the Humanist and a documentation project coordinator.
