But after an appeal for help he was inundated with calls from kind-hearted readers and four foster mum pooches are now feeding the pups. Paul, from Carrick-on-Suir, Co Tipperary, said: "After we put out the appeal in the Mirror, our phone was ringing off the hook - we could have done with the help of a secretary. "The puppies are now divided up and settling in with four different foster mums - one in Waterford, one in Cork and two in Tipperary."
