15 Minutes with ... days difference.[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED] He oh-so-cute bogs of Days Difference are making their film debut in Hannah Montana: The Movie and releasing their first single "Radio Song" April 21, plus a full-length album in June. Jeremy Smith, Jonathan Smith, Jeremiah Ricks and Micah Ricks aren't just bandmates, they're two sets of brothers. (Adorable, we know). We caught up with Jeremy, who gave us the inside scoop on this can't-miss band. GL: What's the best and worst part of being brothers and bandmates? The best part is the bond we share. But I don't know anyone else who can get under my skin quite like my brother can. What was it like the first time you all played music together? Jonathan and I filled in for two musicians who had skipped a concert that Jeremiah and Micah were playing in. We jumped on stage, met the guys and started jamming. After the performance. we decided to start a band. Where do you get inspiration for music? Through life experiences, girls, the good, the bad, the beautiful. girls, love, break-ups and other artists and musicians. Lately, I've been listening to a lot of Taylor Swift. I really admire her as a songwriter. Do you have any great tour stories? Our first tour lasted two weeks. On the first day, the bearings in our right trailer tire blew out. Two days later, the same trailer tire falls off, the axle breaks, and we have to buy a new trailer. Then a promoter gets hit by a car, and that show is cancelled. We visit our friend at college, where Jonathan gets a concussion while playing soccer. At the next show. a club promoter leaves without paying us. A day later. Micah falls while catching a football and breaks his collarbone. In New York City, a cop fines us for parking in a space he promised was legal. It may not sound funny, but by the end of the tour we couldn't help but laugh. What would people be surprised to know about gout band? Were lived in the same room together for three years. And all of us worked at Chick-fil-A before we started doing the band full-time. |
