15 000 T/A Titanium Pigment Project Constructed in Shandong.The 15 000 t/a rutile rutile, mineral, one of three forms of titanium dioxide (TiO2; see titanium). It is a major technology introduction project. The basic I design and key equipment are provided by Smelt Company of Slovenia. The engineering design is undertaken by Shanghai Planning & Design Institute of Chemical Industry. The project has a total investment of 337 million yuan Yuan (yüän), river, 540 mi (869 km) long, rising in S Guizhou prov. and flowing generally NE to Donting lake, Hunan prov., SE China. Navigation above Changde is limited by rapids to small craft. I and started construction in February 1997. It can change I the long-standing reliance on imports for high-grade rutile titanium dioxide and meet the domestic market demand. It is reported that after the start of production the project can increase the output value by 270 million yuan and the profit and tax by 75.9 million yuan a year. |
