143 graduates awarded engineering degrees at PNEC Convocation.KARACHI, November 14, 2009 (Balochistan Times): A total of 143 graduates were awarded Bachelor of Engineering Bachelor of Engineering (commonly abbreviated as BE or BEng) is an undergraduate academic degree awarded to a student after three to five years of studying engineering at an accredited university in Australia, Canada, China, Finland, Germany, India, Ireland, Korea, degrees at the 21st convocation of Pakistan Navy Engineering College Pakistan Navy Engineering College (PNEC) is located at Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. Pakistan Navy Engineering College was established as Officers Training Section (OTS) in 1962 as part of Pakistan Navy. (PNEC PNEC Predicted No Effect Concentration PNEC Pulmonary Neuroendocrine Cells PNEC Pakistan Navy Engineering College (Karachi, Pakistan) PNEC Primary Navy Enlisted Classification ), a constituent college of National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST NUST National University of Sciences and Technology (Rawalpindi, Pakistan) NUST National University of Sciences and Technology (Zimbabwe) NUST Núcleo de Saúde do Trabalhador (Portugese) ), was held here at Bahria Auditorium on Saturday. The Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Noman Bashir, was the chief guest on the occasion. The graduating batch consisted of 76 Pakistan Navy officers, seven Saudi Navy officers and 60 civilian students who were awarded degrees in Mechanical, Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Addressing the ceremony, Admiral Noman Bashir said that the country expects from educational institutions to generate meaningful research which is relevant to our needs and offers indigenous solution to our problems. He expressed his satisfaction that NUST is committed for augmenting broad-based infrastructure for Higher Education in latest technologies and strengthening Research and Development culture in the country. The Naval Chief also commended PNECs efforts involving revision of curricula, expansion of infrastructure and generation of meaningful Industry-Academia relationship. He urged the passing out graduates to dedicate their energies and capabilities in acquiring advanced level of expertise in applied domain to further strengthen countrys economy. Admiral Noman Bashir exhorted them to follow noble values of caring and sacrifice which are binding forces of a society. He also extended his felicitations felicitations Noun, pl, interj expressions of pleasure at someone's success or good fortune; congratulations to the graduates and the medal winners. Earlier, in his welcome address Commandant PN Engineering College Commodore Ahmed Raza highlighted salient features of degree programme. He apprised that presently PNEC is running its BE, MS and PhD programmes in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, and Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering. Raza said that engineering programme is open to civilian students from all over the country on open merit through NUST entrance test and they undergo their education along with service students. Later, the chief guest awarded degrees and medals to the passing out graduates. The ceremony was attended among others by Lt.
