140 students of PM Skills Development Programme awarded.ISLAMABAD, April 04, 2009 (Balochistan Times) -- Around 140 students of Prime Minister Skills Development Programme of National Technical and Vocational Education vocational education, training designed to advance individuals' general proficiency, especially in relation to their present or future occupations. The term does not normally include training for the professions. and Training Commission (NAVTEC) were awarded certificates in a ceremony today for their excellent performance. The certificates were distributed to the students of different technical trades in a ceremony arranged by National Institute of Science and Technical Education (NISTE Nis´te 1. Wist not; knew not. ). The certificates were given to students of different technical trades including Networking Administrator, AutoCAD, Computer Hardware Servicing, Industrial cum domestic electricians, Civil Surveyor, Quantity Surveyor quantity surveyor Noun a person who estimates the cost of the materials and labour necessary for a construction job quantity surveyor n → aparejador(a) m/f , Auto Electrician and Auto Mechanics. The six month courses for these trades have successfully completed by NISTE under patrons hip of NAVTEC under the Skill Development Programme of Prime Minster of Pakistan. These courses were meant to develop the technical skills of poor students and professional working class of the country. The students were paid a stipend of Rs. 2000 per month during the study so that they may support their education. It is the technical education level which indicates the progress of a nation, Mahmood ul Hasan said while urging the students to utilize their skills for the development of country.
