PetSmart Celebrates Its 20(th) Birthday

PHOENIX -- It was 20 years ago in April that the first two PetSmart[R] (NASDAQ: PETM) stores opened in Phoenix, Arizona. To celebrate that occasion, the company is throwing a free birthday party at all of its stores throughout the United States and Canada. (A lot can happen in 20 years.)

The festivities are set for Tuesday, April 24 from 6 - 8 p.m. and include photo packages, as well as special treats and prizes for all guests. Supplies are limited, so be sure to arrive early.

Pets also will have the opportunity to show off their smarts when accredited trainers at every PetSmart location offer them an opportunity to learn a few new tricks (like high-fives and waving goodbye).
