 Systems & Information Technology Group, and VeriPoint, Inc., have signed up to use Citrix's application-server software, an essential enabling technology for the ASP market, under the "pay-as-you-go" terms of its groundbreaking iLicense program. By basing payment on audited software usage, the Citrix(R) iLicense, which was launched in September at Citrix iForum `99 in Orlando, allows ASPs to match their cash flow to a service-oriented business model.

Citrix iLicense

Exclusive to Citrix Application Service Providers, iLicense is a "pay-as-you-go," concurrent-user software license that enables the ASP to provision a full suite of Citrix software - including Citrix MetaFrameTM, Load Balancing The fine tuning of a computer system, network or disk subsystem in order to more evenly distribute the data and/or processing across available resources. For example, in clustering, load balancing might distribute the incoming transactions evenly to all servers, or it might redirect them  Services, Installation Management Services, and Resource Management Services - across an entire server farm, without incurring up-front licensing fees.
