14 ARRESTED IN HUNDREDS OF TAGGINGS, VANDALISM.

Seven adults and seven juveniles have been arrested on suspicion of vandalism in a graffiti tagging spree that caused $27,000 in damage, officials said Thursday.

The arrests this week concluded a six-month investigation into more than three dozen vandalism cases, in which hundreds of locations - including schools, shopping centers and parks - were spray-painted, inked and etched etch

The adult suspects were Jared Meeks, 20, of Newbury Park and Brian Chavez, 21; Julio Rodriguez Lopez, 20; Juan Palacios, 20; David McDonald David John McDonald (November 22, 1902 - August 8, 1979) was an American labor leader and president of the United Steelworkers of America from 1952 to 1965. , 18, all of Thousand Oaks Thousand Oaks, residential city (1990 pop. 104,352), Ventura co., S Calif., in a farm area; inc. 1964. Avocados, citrus, vegetables, strawberries, and nursery products are grown. .

Seven juveniles, some as young as 14, also were taken into custody.

Adult offenders will receive court dates, and juveniles will be notified by the Youth Services Department, authorities said.
