: Thirteen people of Asian and Arab nationalities were arrested yesterday following a police raid on a suspected prostitution prostitution, act of granting sexual access for payment. Sources informed police that several people, men and women, have been running a prostitution business in the building, a Public Prosecution spokesman said yesterday.

"After investigations, the police arrested 12 women of Asian nationalities and an Arab man who works as a security guard at the building."

The women were said to have confessed to the charges during questioning, except two of them who denied them, said the spokesman.

They also confessed that the manager of the building, also an Arab, knew about the business they were running and that he approved of it.

The defendants are currently being held in custody on charges of prostitution while the man has been charged with helping run the business.

An arrest warrant has also been issued against the building manager.
