12yr-old boy hit by bus; ACCIDENT.

A BOY knocked down by a bus was in a serious condition in hospital last night.

The 12-year-old, who is Spanish, was hit at around 5pm yesterday evening.

The accident happened at Herbert Road Herbert Road (Irish: Bóthar Hoirbeaird) in Sandymount is a mostly residential road that links Tritonville Road with Lansdowne Road.  in Bray, Co Wicklow.

He was taken to Our Lady's Children's Hospital in Crumlin, Dublin.

The boy's family were told about the accident and it is believed his father is travelling to Ireland from Spain to be with him.

Gardai have launched an investigation into the accident.
