12TH BVI tax exchange accord.

The British Virgin Islands (BVI) on Aug. 13 said it signed its latest Tax Information Exchange Agreement (TIEA) with New Zealand, in Washington, D.C. This places the BVI on the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development's (OECD) "white list," its highest level of tax collaboration and good governance. The agreement brings the number to 12 of TIEAs signed by the BVI since 2002. TIEAs have already been concluded with the US, France, UK, Australia and seven Nordic countries. In the succeeding months, the BVI is expected to sign agreements with several other countries. Details: Kristy Stewart, AMPR for BVI Intl Finance Centre, 1-917-499-6311.
